There are no cookies
castomapi.com sets no cookie of any kind, and neither do the services it uses — no session cookie, no preference cookie, no analytics cookie, no advertising cookie. This is why there is no cookie banner.
Visits are still counted — by Observer, the castomo family's own analytics, run by Castomo on its own server. It sets no cookie and stores nothing on your device. A chat button sits in the corner of the page; it is Castomo's own service too. The privacy policy says what each one records.
The previous version of this site set a PHPSESSID cookie because it was served by PHP. This version is static and does not.
What is kept in your browser instead
Two things, both stored by your browser on your device, neither sent to us:
| Where | Key | What | When |
|---|---|---|---|
localStorage | capi:theme | Your colour choice: light, dark or high contrast | Only after you choose one in the accessibility panel |
localStorage | capi:size | Your text-size choice | Only after you choose one |
localStorage | capi:spacing | Wider spacing on or off | Only after you switch it on |
localStorage | capi:motion | Reduced motion on or off | Only after you switch it on |
| Cache Storage | capi-<build> | Copies of pages and assets you opened, for offline use | As you browse; replaced when a new version is published |
All of it can be removed by clearing site data for castomapi.com in your browser. The site works identically without it.
Only if you open the chat: castomo.chat.<widget id>.returning (the value 1) and, while the chat is open, castomo.chat.<widget id>.open, on this site; and castomo.chat.<widget id>.token and castomo.chat.<widget id>.visit on chat.castomapi.com. Nothing is written before you open it. Clearing your browser's site data removes them.
The dashboard is different
app.castomapi.com — where you sign in, mint keys and see your wallet — keeps your sign-in token in browser storage and sets one short-lived cookie while you connect a platform account. Its own policy is shown there.
